Hat Making Workshops

Join Hat Maker Jessi Lloyd for a hands on hat making experience. Handcraft your very own fur felt or straw hat. Workshop options and pricing are listed below. All workshops are hosted on demand.

2 Day Intensive: Complete Hat Making Workshops

During the complete hat making workshop you will be hands on in every step of the hat making process. You will hand pull your fur felt over your wooden hat block, sand, steam and shape your hat, then set it with fire. You will then sew in your leather sweatband by hand, and create your outer hat band. These workshops run 8-10 hours and are broken up into 2 days. You will leave with one completed hat. All Workshops run from 9am-2pm.

A $300 deposit is required to secure your chosen dates. This deposit will go towards the final amount of your workshop. This deposit is non refundable and nontransferable. If you need to reschedule your workshop, a new deposit will be required to secure your new dates.

-$1500 per person (original 2 days/1 complete hat)

Add ons:

-$200 per additional day

-$800 per additional western weight Beaver or Nutria fur felt

-$500 per additional western weight rabbit fur felt

-$200 add a straw hat

Straw Hat Workshops:

These straw hat workshops are wonderful for an afternoon or evening with friends, using your hands, creating a straw hat. These workshops run 3-4 hours long. I will provide you a straw hat in your size that you will soak to soften, shape your crown and create your hat band. Workshops need to be booked 2 weeks in advance. Max of 6 people per workshop. If you would like to accommodate a larger group please email Jessi to coordinate plans or to see if your group size is possible. These workshops can also be done individually.
